Warehouse Operations Manager

Based in Bolton

We require an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager for our National Spares Distribution Centre in Breightmet Bolton. This role has complete responsibility for the day-to-day control of all warehousing and distribution activities on site. The main focus of the role is the effective management and distribution of Hoover Candy spare parts from an 1100sq metre warehouse to 200 Hoover Candy Service Engineers as well as many large independent distributors and retailers in both the UK and Europe. This role is responsible for an inventory value of £4 million worth of spare parts and 60 employees contained within the Warehouse, inventory planning/stock purchasing team.

Reporting to the UK Group Director Service & Spares you will be responsible for managing the warehouse operation to ensure the highest levels of customer service are attained at optimal cost in support of business objectives. This is an autonomous role leading a team of up to 60 staff in a trade unionised environment. Working hours Monday to Friday 37½ hours per week.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years field sales experience. You must have good territory planning, be computer literate and well organised. It is essential that you can demonstrate sustained sales target achievement with a customer portfolio of independent retailers. Service Engineer

The basic salary package starts at £18,620 (£23,000 OTE) rising to £26,279.52 (£28,000 OTE) in London, 33 days paid holiday

Aberdeen, Edinburgh, East Lothian, West Lothian & the Scottish Borders Crawley/Gatwick, Bristol, Swindon,
Salisbury and surrounding areas.

Our Service Engineers enjoy the flexibility of working from home while organising their spare part stock and workload to ensure the efficient repair of Hoover Candy products in our customers’ homes.

Our product range includes: washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, refrigeration products and vacuum cleaners.

We welcome applications from experienced white goods or brown goods Engineers or alternatively we are interested in hearing from candidates who have experience in logical electro-mechanical fault finding in either an industrial environment or as a Field Engineer. An understanding of basic electrical principals and a grounding in mechanical principals is essential.
