National Account Manager - SDA

The Hoover Candy Group is looking to further develop is successful ranges of Vacuum Cleaners and SDA products, to support continues growth that we are targeting within specific market sectors. We therefore have a permanent vacancy for a National Account Manager for our Small Domestic Appliance Division

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Sales and Marketing, and will be primarily selling into the Department Stores, Distributors and Shopping Channels while also working on new Business Development opportunities at head office level with Senior Buyers. This role will initially be focused on account management to maximise on existing relationships as well as new business development in exploring additionally winning new accounts that are suited to our product portfolio. The successful candidate will be an outstanding relationship builder, with the ability to sell our full range of products from entry level to more premium offerings. We need a tenacious individual who is seeking an opportunity to develop themselves within a challenging environment.

  • Must have a strong track record in sales.
  • Experience of handling some of the following would be preferred; JLP, Debenhams, BHS, QVC and UK Distributers.
  • Success in either newly opened accounts, or successfully increased volume/product listings by negotiation.
  • Candidate must be able to overcome obstacles and be determined to succeed.
  • Excellent people skills and relationship building is essential.
  • Ability to develop and identify new business.

The candidate will mainly have to;

  • Deliver against an aggressive growth budget.
  • Develop new business in developing sectors and feedback future development opportunities to the business.
  • Previous experience in a similar National Account role.
  • Target driven and motivated to meet and exceed figures.
  • Determination and a strategic approach to win business at all levels.

Technical Support Advisor

The Service Division of the Hoover Candy Group are looking to fill the following permanent full-time position at our Bolton location immediately.

Technical Support Advisor is required at our National Service & Parts Head Office in Bolton reporting to the Technical Support Manager.

The Technical Service Advisor works in an office environment offering technical advice to Service Engineer's and other departments. This role requires the candidate to have a sound technical background and several years Domestic Appliance Service Engineer experience. This role will require a small amount of travel and time spent away from home.

This role also includes the production of technical manuals and bulletins.

The following skills are required;

  • Ability to work on own initiative, and with minimum supervision.
  • Professional telephone manner.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent track record of diagnosing faults and repairing domestic appliances first time.

It is anticipated that candidates may not initialy have all the above experience, but a suitable candidate will receive all training necessary to ‘up skill’ to the role.

Trade Marketing Manager

READING

The Hoover Candy Group, the worldwide manufacturer of major appliances is looking to appoint a new Trade Marketing Manager to operate within our Built In Division at Reading

Main Duties:

  • Analyse Trade Channel trends and make strategic recommendation of new initiatives to Line Manager to secure the key targets and developing opportunities in each Trade Channel, whilst maintaining a sustainable approach across all channels.
  • Provide Sales and Distribution Insight gathered from GfK, IFR, AMDEA and Retailer Sales Out reports.
  • Effective and timely communication both verbal and written to inform sales team and other marketing resource on key product and market actions and developments.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Provide management reports and in-sight summaries from weekly/monthly GfK, AMDEA and Retailer Sales-out data sources.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Sales Team to Develop and implement of effective pre-launch and launch plans for new products/ranges.
  • Production of sales briefs, to support brand, range, product and promotion strategies. To also include monthly ‘Golden Nuggets’ to publicise positive HCG trends in the market and trade channels.
  • Production of customer facing presentations, to support brand, range, product and promotion strategies.

Skill Set

  • High degree of computer literacy, to include advanced skills using MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Software provided by Market Research Suppliers.
  • Good inter-personal and motivational skills to work effectively with key customers, sales teams, product managers and other internal departments.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to work largely unsupervised. Effectively prioritises use of time and resources in order to meet deadlines and changing business priorities.

We are looking for a candidate who has experience within marketing and is keen to develop. The Marketing Assistant role offers an ideal base to learn all functions in marketing.

Personal Profile:

  • A marketing graduate or equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 1 year experience in a marketing role
  • Ability to work as part of an effective team and ability to communicate effectively
  • Should possess a flexible, can-do attitude and approach to working
  • High attention to detail and excellent literacy

Main role responsibilities

  • Establish yourself as the first point of call to advise on brand guidelines, imagery, messaging, positioning and values
