Main Duties:

Intercompany

  • Invoice Processing
  • Prepayment management
  • Invoice raising
  • Calculating exchange gains and losses
  • Cash flow forecasting and management
  • Reconciliation of year end balances
  • General ledger reconciliation

Freight Out Accounting

  • Cost analysis and management
  • Monthly performance reporting
  • General ledger reconciliation
  • Variance analysis including Price, Volume and Mix variances
  • Budget and forecasting preparation

Travel Expenses

  • Weekly checking and verification of company personnel expense claims

Government Returns

  • Intrastat returns
  • National statistics returns

Fixed Assets

  • Depreciation forecasting
  • Monthly reporting
  • General ledger reconciliation

Other Duties

  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Cover for other accounting departments (Cashiers & Accounts Payable)

Essential skills:

  • Some background accounting knowledge through an Accountancy Degree/Qualifications

Technical Support Advisor

The Service Division of the Hoover Candy Group are looking to fill the following permanent full-time position at our Bolton location immediately.

Technical Support Advisor is required at our National Service & Parts Head Office in Bolton reporting to the Technical Support Manager.

The Technical Service Advisor works in an office environment offering technical advice to Service Engineer's and other departments. This role requires the candidate to have a sound technical background and several years Domestic Appliance Service Engineer experience. This role will require a small amount of travel and time spent away from home.

This role also includes the production of technical manuals and bulletins.

The following skills are required;

  • Ability to work on own initiative, and with minimum supervision.
  • Professional telephone manner.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent track record of diagnosing faults and repairing domestic appliances first time.

It is anticipated that candidates may not initialy have all the above experience, but a suitable candidate will receive all training necessary to ‘up skill’ to the role.

National Account Manager - SDA

The Hoover Candy Group is looking to further develop is successful ranges of Vacuum Cleaners and SDA products, to support continues growth that we are targeting within specific market sectors. We therefore have a permanent vacancy for a National Account Manager for our Small Domestic Appliance Division.

The successful candidate will report to the Commercial Director, and will be primarily selling into the DIY retailers and National Discounters while also working on new Business Development opportunities at head office level with Senior Buyers. This role will initially be focused on account management to maximise on existing relationships as well as new business development in exploring additionally winning new accounts that are suited to our product portfolio. The successful candidate will be an outstanding relationship builder, with the ability to sell our full range of products from entry level to more premium offerings. We need a tenacious individual who is seeking an opportunity to develop themselves within a challenging environment.

  • Must have a strong track record in sales.

The Hoover Candy Group, known worldwide as a maker of quality domestic appliances is looking to appoint a new Head for Built-in Appliances with full responsibility for all Built-in commercial opportunities in the UK and Ireland.

The business sells Baumatic, Hoover and Candy branded Built-in products in the UK and Irish markets. Hoover acquired Baumatic in November 2013 and Baumatic operates from a Reading base. Hoover Candy Built-in sales are based at our Bromborough location on the Wirral near Chester.

The Company has decided to appoint a new Head of Built-in Sales & Marketing to provide strategic leadership to the overall UK Built-in operation looking after all UK brands. This role will report into the Chief Executive Officer.

You will ideally possess a proven track record of sales and management on a National basis in the white goods, small domestic appliance or consumer electronic marketplace. You will have experience of people management as you will be managing a team of roughly 25 people. You will have experience of building relationships with senior commercial and technical decision makers and ideally possess strong personal contacts with key players. You will be seeking an opportunity to take your career to the next level within a senior commercial capacity, or to build on an already successful career at this level.

As Head of Built-in Sales & Marketing you will have full P&L responsibilities for the Division and will oversee the development of new and existing business. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the Division, including the financial performance, marketing, employees and sales.

The business sells into the major electrical and DIY retailers, kitchen manufactures, kitchen specialists and builder merchants, dealing at Head Office level with buyers and brand managers; ideally utilising existing contacts, the successful candidate will be an outstanding relationship builder, with the ability to lead and direct our Built-in Sales and Marketing teams.
